CARE GIVERS

Support Group

I am Jackie Haigh. I was a caregiver for my mum, Joan, who I lived with and took care of until the end of her journey with dementia. I am a Reiki Master, energy healer, coach, author, and speaker, sharing my journey to help others on theirs. Please note that I am not a doctor or medical professional. I am just sharing my personal experience of being a caregiver for my mom, Joan, and what worked and didn't work for us along our journey.

STARTING APRIL 2026

I'm thrilled to have you join us for our free 45-minute session, held every Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. This is a special space dedicated to caregivers like you, who are providing care to someone with dementia/Alzheimer's.

In our sessions, we focus on creating a supportive community where you can connect with like- minded individuals. We begin with Laughter Yoga, which combines laughter exercises with deep breathing. This practice boosts your energy and brings more oxygen to the body, setting a positive tone for our time together. We also express gratitude for the small victories we experience each day.

You are encouraged to share the challenges you are currently facing in your caregiver journey. By attending this group, you promise to keep all conversations shared here confidential. This is a safe space for everyone. We kindly ask that you refer to the person you are caring for as "Loved One," rather than using their name, as they may be in the same room with you. This allows you to share authentically without alienating them during our session.

Before we begin, I'd like to ask: What are you hoping to get out of this group?

Your experiences, stories, and feelings are valued here, and together, we aim to support one another through the challenges and triumphs of caregiving.
